Annette "Annette_15" Obrestad defeated Bernd Gleissner to take down the 5,000 GBP Heads Up event at the EPT London earlier this evening. For her victory, Obrestad received 120k GBP (about 190k USD), while runner-up Gleissner walked away with 60k GBP.
Sam Iola and Santeri Validoski finished third/fourth in the tournament and received 30k GBP each.
After winning her semifinal match 2-0, Obrestad jumped out to a quick 2-0 lead against Gleissner in the best-of-5 final before eventually winning 3-1.
With her victory in this event, Annette Obrestad now has more than $3.3 million in total lifetime "live" tournament cashes.
2. Soheb Porbandarwala Finishes At Top of Leaderboard After Day 1A of EPT London Main Event.
Day 1A of the EPT London main event wrapped up a few hours ago, with Soheb Porbandarwala finishing as the Day 1A chipleader.
146 of the 339 players who turned out for Day 1A managed to survive through to the end of the day.
