Phil Ivey, Doyle Brunson Amongst Players Advancing to Round 2 of 2010 National Heads-Up Poker Championship
Published on March 6th, 2010 2:14 am ESTThe first day of the 2010 National Heads-Up Poker Championship has just come to an end, and now all of Saturday's second round matchups have been set.
Players who managed to win their first round matchups on Friday included Phil Ivey, Annette Obrestad and Phil Hellmuth.
A number of poker's biggest names weren't so lucky, as Patrik Antonius, Tom Dwan and Daniel Negreanu were all sent packing.
The Round of 32 and Round of 16 matchups will take place on Saturday, with the Quarterfinals, Semifinals and Finals all taking place on Sunday.
Here are the second round matchups:

The second round matchups that stand out to me are:
Ivey vs Nguyen
Cunningham vs Elezra
Hellmuth vs Obrestad
Greenstein vs Farha
The top 16 spots pay, meaning that everyone who wins their second round matchup will be guaranteed a payday. The winner of this event will walk away with half a million dollars, while the runner-up will take home $250,000.
