-- poker player jeff lisandro - wsop 2009 - world series --It wasn't that long ago when Jeff Lisandro was considered to be one of the best poker players in the world without a World Series of Poker bracelet.

Since winning his first bracelet in 2007 (in the $2k Seven Card Stud event), Lisandro has gone on a tear, adding an additional two bracelets to his collection.

First, Jeff was able to take down the $1,500 Seven Card Stud event at this year's World Series of Poker for $124,959.

Then, just a few short days later, Lisandro did it again, winning his second bracelet of the year in the $10k Seven Card Stud Hi/Lo World Championship. Winning this championship was no easy feat, as Lisandro had to overcome great players such as Doyle Brunson and Scotty Nguyen to capture his third bracelet.

With his second bracelet of the 2009 World Series of Poker, Lisandro moves (at least temporarily) into a tie with Ville Wahlbeck atop the WSOP POY leaderboard. Lisandro has $619,131 in World Series of Poker earnings so far this year, and has cashed a total of five times.

Jeff Lisandro joins Brock Parker and Phil Ivey as multiple bracelet winners at the 2009 World Series of Poker.

"Iceman" now has roughly $3.85 million dollars in total lifetime tournament cashes.

Not only has Lisandro won two bracelets this year, but he also stands to profit handsomely from various POY and bracelet bets.

Lisandro is a well-respected and well-liked player, and many feel as though his success in the World Series of Poker is long overdue.

Congratulations to "Iceman" on the third WSOP bracelet of his career.

The big question now is - will anybody will three bracelets in 2009?
