Tom Dwan Does It Again
Published on December 27th, 2008 3:54 am EST"durrrr" did it again.
Early Saturday morning, Tom "durrrr" Dwan accumulated a stack of over $1 million dollars on Full Tilt Poker for the third time in his short career.
Dwan, along with Ilari "Ziigmund" Sahamies and Phil "OMGClayAiken" Galfond, are the only players to ever run up a stack of over $1 million dollars on Full Tilt Poker. This obviously excludes limit games where players can sit with whatever they want (ie TexasLimitKing a few years ago). We are talking about players who earned their ways to the one million dollar mark in a single session.
This is the THIRD time that Dwan has done this in his short career.
Dwan accomplished this feat while sitting at "RailHeaven", which is one of the high-stakes $500/$1000 No Limit Hold'em tables on Full Tilt Poker.
Some of the other players sitting included Patrik Antonius, Hac "trex313" Dang and Phil "OMGClayAiken" Galfond - not exactly a soft table.
The hand that put Dwan over the $1 million dollar mark came against Galfond. Prior to the hand starting, Dwan had a stack of $942k and Galfond had about $120k. "durrrr" was in the small blind, and "mastrblastr" was in the big blind.
Patrik Antonius raised to $3,500 from early position. Galfond called.
"durrrr" raised it up to $18,200 from the small blind. Antonius called, and Galfond pushed all-in after taking a few moments to think.
"durrrr" came over the top, pushing all-in, and Antonius folded.
Galfond showed Q-A offsuit, while "durrrr" showed pocket Kings.
The flop brought 6-3-8 with two diamonds. The two of diamonds came on the turn, giving "OMGClayAiken" a few more outs. Now he would win with an ace or another diamond (he held the Ace of Diamonds).
The river brought the Queen of spades, and "durrrr" took down the very large $260k pot to put himself over the $1 million dollar mark.
"durrrr" seems to be absolutely destroying the competition today. He is currently sitting with about $2 million dollars spread out over 4-5 tables. He also took a great deal of money off of Gus Hansen earlier in the day.
Another completely ridiculous day for Tom "durrrr" Dwan.
