Full Tilt Poker have unleashed two major changes to their poker room today: the addition of Tournament Dollars (T$) and an Auto Top-Up feature for cash games. There were also a couple of smaller additions, including the addition of a "Sit Out Next BB" box in ring games and the ability to view Player Notes in both the Main and Tournament lobbies.
The two biggest features though are certainly the Tournament Dollars and the Auto Top-Up function.
When you win a tournament entry via a satellite now, you can simply unregister from the tournament and you will be credited with the equivalent in Tournament Dollars. These Tournament Dollars can then be used for any tournament or Sit and Go, or you have the option of selling the Dollars back to Full Tilt Poker in exchange for cash. Full Tilt Poker will charge a commission of 5% for this service (I believe that the 5% is a fixed rate but I am not yet 100% sure). As of right now, Sit and Go tokens still can not be converted into cash.
When you log into Full Tilt Poker, you will now notice that in your cashier screen there is a new section that lists the total number of Tournament Dollars that you have. Just above it, there is a button that says "Convert T$". Obviously click this button to be taken to the Tournament Dollars conversion page.
I am glad that FTP decided to institute the Tournament Dollar system, however I am not quite sure why they are charging a 5% fee to convert the Dollars to cash. Didn't they already charge rake on the satellites in the first place?
Anyways, Full Tilt also unleashed the Auto Top-Up feature for ring games. To access this feature, simply click on Options in the Game Lobby and then click "Set Buy-in Preferences". You will then be able to determine if you wish to Auto Rebuy in a cash game, and for how many BB's. You can also choose to rebuy for the table minimum.
