One week into the World Poker Finals, being hosted at the Foxwoods Casino and Resort, Huck Seed and Men "The Master" Nguyen have both claimed victory.

Still early in the tournament, with 12 events still left to be played, consistent play has been exhibited by Nguyen and also Kathy Liebert. Liebert has claimed two top 5 finishes so far, ending up 3rd in the No Limit Hold'em event on November 1st, and 4th in the Omaha Hi/Lo event which took place on November 3rd. You can expect that Nguyen, Liebert and Seed will all be contending in some of the higher buy-in games, including the No Limit Hold'em championship which begins on November 14th.

Huck Seed won the $500 buy-in No Limit Hold'em draw which went down on November 1st, and claimed almost $90,000 in the process, continuing his strong year.

Men showed why he is the "Master" by taking first place out of 528 players in the Limit Hold'em event which took place on Halloween. He took home over $54,000, and you can expect that he will be adding to this total as the World Poker Finals continue.

Amir Vahedi, who is also having a very strong year, finished #1 in the Omaha Hi/Lo $500 buyin contest which took place on Monday, November 3rd.

We will be continuing our coverage as the tournament continues.
