Phil Ivey Banks Almost $3 Million in Cashes in 10 Day Period
Published on April 15th, 2022 2:03 pm ESTPhil Ivey has a message for poker players as the World Series of Poker approaches later this spring:
I'm still the best player on the world.
Phil Ivey, who currently sits in ninth place on the all-time money list, has had an interesting past decade that has been filled with distraction.
These distractions (long court cases, etc) conspired to keep Ivey largely off the live poker tour.
When Ivey did pop up to play an event, however, he had exceptionally strong results, proving that his lack of live tournament play did nothing to create any rust.

Ivey has moved on from his issues and is now free to focus all of his attention on poker, and the results have been very impressive.
Ivey cashed in five events in the first half of April, including three Triton Poker Cyprus events and two Super High Roller Series Europe stops.
These cashes includes two wins ($50,000 Pot Limit Omaha for $640,000 and $75,000 NLHE Short Deck Hold'em for $1,170,000) and three other six-figure cashes for $504,000, $179,000 and $387,100.
In total, Ivey banked a little less than $3 million in cashes in April, and the month is not even half over.
-
Ivey, who was elected to the Poker Hall of Fame in 2017, now sits in ninth place on the all-time money list, roughly $600,000 behind Jason Koon.
With the EPT Monte Carlo and World Series of Poker just around the corner, Ivey will be looking to gain some ground on the players who are ahead of him.
