WPT Prime Will Replace WPTDeepStacks
Published on February 23rd, 1:21 am ESTEarlier this evening, the World Poker Tour announced the formation of a new tournament brand which "pairs the premier poker tournament experience of a WPT Main Tour stop with affordable buy-ins accessible to more players around the globe".
The new tournament brand is called "WPT Prime", and this will be replacing the WPTDeepStacks brand, which will be retired in mid-2022.

WPT Prime will debut with three tournaments in Asia in 2022, with more stops expected to be added later this year.
Here are the three current stops on the newly formed WPT Prime tour:
1. Vietnam.
This series will run at the Crown Poker Club in Hanoi from May 19th - 30th, with the $1,100 USD buy-in main event running from May 26th to 30th.
2. Cambodia.
This series will be hosted by the NagaWorld Integrated Resort in Phnom Penh and will run from August 11th to 23rd.
The main event will have a buy-in of $1,100 USD and will run from August 18th to 22nd.
3. Taiwan.
This series will run in Taiwan at the Chinese Texas Holdem Poker Association in Taipei from November 11th to 21st. The main event of this festival will feature a buy-in of around $1,100 USD and will run from November 17th to 21st.

As mentioned, the World Poker Tour will be adding more stops in the "weeks and months ahead".
