First Event of Season Will Be WPT Lucky Hearts Poker Open
Published on January 12th, 2022 1:38 pm ESTEarlier this week, the World Poker Tour released their schedule for the first half of Season XX (2022-23).
The first announced stop for World Poker Tour Season XX will be the Lucky Hearts Poker Open at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino.
This series will run from January 13th to 26th, with the big event, the LHPO WPT Championship, getting underway on January 21st.
This event will have a guaranteed prize pool of $2 million.
After that, the World Poker Tour will be hosting an online event, as the WPT Spring Festival will run from January 27th to February 7th.
The Festival will have a total of $1.9 million in guaranteed prize money, with the Main Event (February 1st to 7th) guaranteeing a total prize pool of $1.25 million.
After that, the action will shift back to the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino, which will play host to the Seminole Hard Rock Poker Showdown. This $3,500 buy-in event will run from April 8th to 12th.
Last year's Seminole Hard Rock Poker Showdown ended up with a prize pool of nearly $8 million, and there is no reason to think that this year's event will be any different.
The last announced Main Tour stop is the WPT Choctaw, which will feature a buy-in of $3,800 and get underway on May 13th, 2022. This event will be hosted by the Choctaw Casino and Resort.
