Phil Hellmuth has a 2-0 lead so far in the High Stakes Duel.Phil Hellmuth and Daniel Negreanu will be squaring off for the third (and possibly final) time in the "High Stakes Duel" on PokerGO.

The third match between the two poker legends is set for June 23rd at the PokerGO Studio in Las Vegas.

Daniel Negreanu came into his "High Stakes Duel" match against Phil Hellmuth absolutely brimming with confidence.

After all, Negreanu did better than most thought he would in his match against Doug Polk, who is considered one of the best heads-up players in the world.

Surely Phil Hellmuth, who mainly plays full-table tournaments and cash games, would be at a disadvantage against "Kid Poker"?

In the first match of the contest, both players put up $50,000. Negreanu got off to a massive lead and seemed to be cruising to victory.

Phil Hellmuth, however, never gives up, and he was able to chip away at Negreanu's lead and eventually win.

The second match between the two players saw the stakes increase to $100,000. Despite his insistence that he would win, Negreanu dropped a second straight match against Hellmuth.

Per the terms of the challenge, the third match between the two players will see the stakes increase to $200,000.

So, if Hellmuth wins for the third straight time, he would have taken $350,000 in total off of Negreanu.

In addition, if Hellmuth wins for the third straight time, he will have the option of calling off the contest and walking away with the $350,000.

Or, he could choose to play Negreanu for a fourth time, with the stakes increasing to $400,000.

-

Daniel Negreanu would have a hard time living down three straight losses to Phil Hellmuth, especially given all of the trash talking between the two before the match started.
