Home of World Series of Poker Europe Set To Re-Open on November 30th
Published on November 24th, 2020 11:31 pm ESTSome good news for fans of the World Series of Poker and poker in general, as King's Resort in the Czech Republic is planning on re-opening its doors on November 30th.
King's Resort has been forced to temporarily shutter its doors twice this year due to the COVID-19 pandemic - once in the spring and once again in the fall.
This latest shutdown came as a result of COVID-19 cases spiking in the Czech Republic, so the government instituted strict new measures in order to stop the spike. One of these measures resulted in King's Resort shutting its doors.

The World Series of Poker is pushing ahead with its plan to host a hybrid World Series of Poker main event this winter.
The plan would be to essentially host two separate tournaments online - a domestic and international event - with the final tables of these two tournaments to be held live at the Rio in Las Vegas and King's Resort in the Czech Republic.
The winners of the two final tables would then square off in a heads-up battle for an additional $1 million in Las Vegas.
Many people have panned this idea, calling it unreasonably risky in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic.
If the plan is to go ahead, King's Resort will need to be open by mid-December, and it certainly appears as though that will happen.

If everything goes according to plan, King's Resort plans to start offering poker cash games, roulette, blackjack and slots at 6 am on November 30th.
If there isn't another shutdown, King's Resort should host the final table of the international portion of the World Series of Poker main event in mid-December.
