Phil Galfond Big Favorite To Win "Galfond Challenge"

Phil Galfond is set to begin his next "Galfond Challenge" match on Wednesday, September 16th.

The opponent? Chance Kornuth, founder of ChipLeaderCoaching and a 2-time World Series of Poker bracelet winner.

Despite Kornuth's career achievements, Phil Galfond is a big favorite to win.

Despite taking a considerable amount of time off from the game of poker, Galfond is still seen as one of the best Pot Limit Omaha players in the world.

Galfond proved this after beating both VeniVidi and "ActionFreak" in the first two completed challenges. The battle against VeniVidi was particularly noteworthy as Galfond came back from a massive deficit to win.

Galfond is clearly brimming with confidence right now, as he has either won or is leading every single one of his challenges.

This is probably bad news for Chance Kornuth.

The "Challenge" between Galfond and Kornuth will consist of 35,000 hands of €100/€200 Pot Limit Omaha.

If Galfond wins, he will receive an additional €250,000 from Kornuth, in addition to whatever he wins over the course of the Challenge.

If Kornuth wins, he will receive an additional €1,000,000 from Galfond, in addition to whatever he wins over the course of the Challenge.
