GGPoker and WSOP.com are already teaming up for the "World Series of Poker Online", which will begin on July 19th and run until September 6th.
This massive series, which will have bracelet events for both the Nevada/New Jersey and Rest of World markets, will award a total of 85 gold bracelets.
This series was never meant to replace the World Series of Poker, which tournament organizers still hoped would be able to go ahead this fall.
The tease of a "big" announcement involving GGPoker/WSOP has people speculating this morning.
Will the World Series of Poker be moved completely online this fall?
Will there be some sort of live/online hybrid WSOP this fall, with just a few bigger "live" events?
Will the "live" WSOP go ahead this fall (Las Vegas poker rooms have been re-opening this month) with GGPoker hosting a significant amount of satellite events?

One thing is for sure - the WSOP needs to make an announcement regarding the fall soon, and we might get that announcement on Friday.
