Phil Ivey Continuing His Hot Streak at the partypoker MILLIONS World Bahamas
Published on November 23rd, 2019 4:02 am ESTFor a stretch that lasted almost 2 1/2 years, Phil Ivey didn't post a single cash in a tournament.
During this tumultuous time that stretched from early 2016 to mid-2018, Phil Ivey was embroiled in two high-profile court cases that related to the controversial practice of "edge sorting". For those 2 1/2 years, Ivey seemingly spent more time in a courtroom than at the poker tables.
Those two court cases - against Crockfords and Borgata - would end disastrously for Ivey, as he and his legal team would lose both of them.
To make matters even worse, the Borgata looked to collect on their multi-million dollar judgment, which resulted in Ivey's cash at the $50k PPC event at the 2019 World Series of Poker getting seized.
All in all, this was an embarrassing time for Ivey.

Things started to turn around quickly for Ivey as soon as he left the United States and hit the World Series of Poker Europe in Rozvadov.
During a one-week stretch in Rozvadov, Ivey posted five cashes, including two second place finishes in the €50k Short Deck High Roller and €100k Short Deck Super High Roller events.
In total, Ivey would cash for over $1.5 million during the World Series of Poker Europe, which was surely a nice boost to his bankroll.

The hot streak has spilled over for Ivey into the partypoker MILLIONS World Bahamas event, as he has added two new six-figure cashes to his list of recent scores.
To start, Ivey finished in 4th place in the $25,000 Short Deck Hold'em event for $126,250, and followed this up with a 6th place finish in the $50,000 No Limit Hold'em event for $220,000.
This means that, over the past month, Ivey has raked in roughly $2 million in total tournament cashes, which brings his lifetime total up to $28,413,209.

After years of relative inactivity on the live tournament circuit, Ivey is back and proving that he is still one of the very best players in the game.
