Massive Prize Pool Coming For £1 Million Buy-in Event

The Triton Million, which will be held at the London Hilton on Park Lane Grand Ballroom early next month, is now up to 37 confirmed players. That is 37 players that will be forking out a buy-in of £1,050,000, which is the biggest buy-in in the history of poker.
After subtracting the £50,000 tournament fee (which will be donated to a few different charities), this leaves a massive prize pool of £37 million, which works out to over $6 million US dollars.

The tournament organizers for the Triton Million utilized an unusual method of attracting names to their tournament.
Players were separated into two groups - recreational players/businessmen and guest players/professional poker players.
A committee decided which recreational players/businessmen would be extended invitations to the tournament. These recreational players/businessmen were then allowed to invite one professional player to participate.
Invitation holders will be separated from the professional players for the first six levels of the events. After that, a seat draw will take place that will combine the two fields.
At the end of Day 1, a new random seat draw will take place, though invitation holders will be kept separated from their invited guests until the final table.
