Full Tilt Poker has made an interesting addition to their roster, adding UFC star Matt Hughes as a "Friend of Full Tilt."
I am not sure exactly how deep this relationship is, but it is a pretty savvy move by Full Tilt Poker in my opinion. There are not too many big name poker players who don't have an affiliation with some online poker site, so it would make sense that poker rooms would start looking outside of poker for additions to their roster.
The UFC demographic is one that is certainly appealing to Full Tilt Poker, and I am not surprised that they inked this deal. I am not sure whether or not Full Tilt Poker will be sponsoring Hughes for his UFC fights now, but it would be a savvy marketing move on their part if they chose to do so.
