Tournament Festival To Run From October 15th to November 4th
Published on February 10th, 2019 8:15 pm ESTEarlier this week, the dates for the upcoming 2019 World Series of Poker Europe were officially set.
This year's WSOPE will be taking place at King's Resort Rozvadov, which marks the third straight year that the venue has hosted the series. After moving around the WSOPE for a number of years, tournament organizers seem to have settled on King's Resort Rozvadov as the (possibly) permanent home for the series, thanks to its central location and overall comfort.
The tournament series will run from October 15th, 2019 to November 4th, 2019. There will be a total of 10 bracelet events (same as 2018), with the main event running from October 25th to October 30th. Last year's €10,000 buy-in main event resulted in a prize pool of over €5,000,000, and there is no reason to think that this year's event will be any smaller.
In total, last year's WSOPE had a total of 6,028 entries and over €20,000,000 in total guaranteed prize money.

The World Series of Poker Europe counts towards the WSOP POY standings, which means that anybody near the top of the leaderboard at the end of this summer's WSOP in Las Vegas will likely attend the series.
This will be the 12th year that the World Series of Poker Europe has been run. A number of notable names have won the WSOPE main event, including John Juanda, Phil Hellmuth and Annette Obrestad. Daniel Negreanu made it to heads-up play in 2009 before finally succumbing to Barry Shulman.
Last year's main event had a total of 534 entrants, with Jack Sinclair outlasting Laszlo Bujtas to take down the €1,122,239 first place prize.
