Wow, talk about a rumor spreading out of control. I can't believe how many people e-mailed me over the past week or so, asking if Fredrik "Hallinggol" Halling had actually killed himself. At first I thought it was a joke, but then as more and more emails trickled in, I thought I would actually post an article about this.
I'm not sure how this rumor got started, but Hallinggol is alive and well. Sure, he hasn't been playing on Pokerstars much as of late, but the truth of the matter is that he has been living it up, having the time of his life, travelling around the world.
Hallinggol took a 200k beating from Rekrul and since then, he hasn't had much of an appetite for the cash games on Pokerstars that he used to dominate. He has still been playing live events though, but most of his time has been spent seeing the world and having the time of his life.
He is not dead. He did not kill himself. He's alive and well.
