Six Players Remain in World Series of Poker Europe Main Event
Published on November 9th, 2017 8:55 pm ESTThis year's World Series of Poker Europe main event is now down to just six players. They are:
1. Maria Ho, 7,830,000
2. Marti Roca De Torres, 7,260,000
3. Gianiuca Speranza, 4,400,000
4. Niall Farrell, 3,025,000
5. Mathijs Jonkers, 2,785,000
6. Robert Bickley, 1,085,000
The final hand of play on Thursday saw Jack Salter get the rest of his short stack into the middle pre-flop holding Ks-Js. Marti Roca De Torres decided to put Salter to the test with his Ac-7c.
The flop came As-10c-5h, giving De Torres the lead in the head, though Salter certainly still had some outs.
The turn was the 4 of diamonds, which eliminated the possibility of Salter hitting a runner-runner flush.
The river was the 7 of diamonds, which gave De Torres the pot and sent Salter to the rail in 7th place for €129,121.

The €10,350 buy-in event ended up with a total of 529 entries, which created a prize pool of €5,025,500.
All six of the final table participants will receive a minimum of €174,365 for making it through to the last day of play.
Here are the final six payouts:
1st - €1,115,207
2nd - €689,246
3rd - €476,585
4th - €335,089
5th - €239,639
6th - €174,365
-
The final table will pick back up at noon local time on Friday afternoon at the King's Casino in Rozvadov, Czech Republic.
Maria Ho certainly has enough final table experience to take this tournament down, as she has four six-figure cashes over the course of her career (not including this most recent cash), including a second place finish in the $5,000 No Limit Hold'em event at the 2011 World Series of Poker.
