Doug Polk Takes Down $111,111 High Roller For One Drop
Published on June 6th, 2017 4:52 pm ESTDoug Polk took down the biggest tournament win of his career on Monday evening when he outlasted 129 players to take down the $111,111 High Roller for One Drop event for $3,686,865.
This was the third World Series of Poker bracelet of Polk's career, as he had previously won bracelets in 2014 ($1,000 Turbo No Limit Hold'em) and 2016 ($1,000 Tag Team No Limit Hold'em). Polk's third bracelet was easily his biggest, however, as the first place prize was nearly $3.7 million.
In a Youtube video released before the final table, Polk revealed that he had 43% of himself in the $111,111 High Roller event, which means that he will walk away with a cash of nearly $1.6 million.

Polk had to outlast a very strong final table to take down his third World Series of Poker bracelet. Here is how the final table ended up finishing out:
1st, Doug Polk, $3,686,865
2nd, Bertrand Grospellier, $2,278,657
3rd, Dario Sammartino, $1,608,295
4th, Haralabos Voulgaris, $1,158,883
5th, Chris Moore, $852,885
6th, Martin Jacobson, $641,382
7th, Rainer Kempe, $493,089
8th, Andrew Robl, $387,732
9th, Mike Kamran, $312,006
The final hand of the event came when Grospellier called off the rest of his short stack holding Ah-8h following an all-in move from Polk pre-flop.
"Elky" looked to be in good shape, as Polk held Qs-5c, though the flop brought a Queen, putting Polk far out in front in the hand. The 5 of diamonds on the turn sealed the deal for Polk.
