Jake Schindler Looks To Close Out Tournament on Thursday
Published on June 1st, 2017 3:54 am ESTThree men - Jake Schindler, Christoph Vogelsang and Stefan Schillhabel - will battle for the 2017 Super High Roller Bowl title on Thursday afternoon at the ARIA poker room in Las Vegas.
After four full days of play, a field of 56 players has been boiled down to just three. Jake Schindler will have the dominant chip lead when action gets underway at 1 pm local time on Thursday afternoon, as he managed to finish Day 4 with over 10.6 million in chips. Christoph Vogelsang finished Day 4 with 5,245,000 chips, while Stefan Schillhabel will likely need some divine intervention, as he will limp into Day 5 with just 885,000 in chips.

Jason Koon was the tournament's unlucky "bubble boy", as he was eliminated in 8th place. After a flop of 8d-Kc-10s, Koon elected to move the rest of his short stack into the middle and was subsequently called by Schindler.
Schindler held pocket Eights for bottom set, while Koon held 9h-7h for an open-ended straight draw. The turn and river both bricked out for Koon, and he was sent to the rail in 8th place with nothing to show for his $300,000 entry.
Here are the four players who made the cash but were eliminated on Day 4:
Leon Tsoukernik, $1,800,000
Byron Kaverman, $1,400,000
Pratyush Buddiga, $1,000,000
Justin Bonomo, $600,000

Schindler, Vogelsang and Schillhabel are all guaranteed $2,400,000 for making it through to the last day of play. The winner of the event will walk away with $6,000,000 even, while the runner-up will receive $3,600,000.
