Tournament, Which Takes Place in November, Has Cap of 111 Players
Published on March 28th, 2017 5:47 pm ESTEarlier today, the World Series of Poker and King's Casino revealed that a total of 50 players have put down their €11,111 non-refundable deposits for the €111,111 High Roller for One Drop event, which will be taking place on November 3rd, 2017 at this year's World Series of Poker Europe.
The tournament, which is capped at a total of 111 players, will have a guaranteed prize pool of €10,000,000. These numbers, plus the inclusion of several big names who have already paid their deposits, makes it a virtual certainty that the tournament will eventually hit its cap. After all, the start of the tournament is over seven months away and nearly half of the spots have already been claimed.
In addition to the 50 deposits that have been received, tournament organizers stated that seven more players have indicated that they will be playing but have not yet sent their deposits.

Here are some of the more recognizable names that have put down their deposits to play in this event:
Tony G
Antonio Esfandiari
Fedor Holz
Patrik Antonius
Bertrand Grospellier
Daniel Cates
Phil Ivey
Phil Hellmuth
That is an incredible line-up as it stands. As mentioned, given the line-up that has already committed to the event, don't be surprised if more big names (such as Daniel Negreanu) also decide to play.
