$6 Million To Go To Winner of Event
Published on February 15th, 2017 6:58 pm ESTEarlier today, Aria's Director of Poker Operations, Sean McCormack, revealed that the field size for the upcoming Super High Roller Bowl would be increased from 50 to 56 players.
In revealing the news, McCormack said that "based on the success of last year's Super High Roller Bowl and the overwhelming interest in this year's event, ARIA believed it was in our best interest to increase the size of the event by six players".

A total of 54 players ponied up the $30,000 deposit so that they could be entered into a lottery for the Super High Roller Bowl. This lottery determined which of the 54 players would earn one of the available 35 open spots for the tournament.
Names such as Erik Seidel and Antonio Esfandiari won the lottery, meaning that they will be able to play in the $300,000 buy-in event.

The ARIA was reserving a total of 15 entries prior to today's announcement. These entries were being reserved for "high rollers" who frequent the ARIA poker room and casino.
After today's announcement, the ARIA will have a total of 21 spots at their disposal. Given Daniel Negreanu's standing as one of the biggest names in poker, you can be virtually certain that he will end up getting one of these 21 available spots.

The increased field size means that the prize pool will be increased to $16,800,000, while the eventual winner of the event will walk away with a payday of $6 million.
ARIA is expected to release more details on the 21 reserved seats next week.
