Over the past few years, the biggest poker games in the world have moved from Las Vegas to Macau and other parts of Asia. A number of very well-known names in the poker world, including Phil Ivey and Tom "durrrr" Dwan, have been regulars in these games.
Tournament organizers are expecting that many of the players who frequent these games who make the trip over to the WPT National Philippines festival in early January. Only one name, Richard Yong, has been confirmed for the tournament as of yet, but you can safely expect that it will end up attracting a mix of professional poker players (Phil Ivey seems like a strong possibility) and wealthy businessmen. These wealthy businessmen, who are regulars in the games in Macau, will, in turn, attract the professional "sharks".
