Colman Continues His Epic Run With SHRPO Main Event Title
Published on September 4th, 2014 12:54 am ESTDaniel Colman continued his ridiculous run with a win in the SHRPO (Seminole Hard Rock Poker Open) main event earlier tonight for $1,446,710. With his victory, Colman passes Phil Ivey, Erik Seidel and Sam Trickett to take over the #3 spot on the all-time tournament money list.
Colman needed to get past Mike Leah in heads-up play to take down the victory. The final hand of the tournament came when Colman's Ah-Kd managed to top Leah's Qc-Jc.
Here were the final table payouts for the $10 million guaranteed main event:
1. Daniel Colman, $1,446,710
2. Mike Leah, $1,047,638
3. Shawn Cunix, $748,313
4. John Dolan, $548,763

Colman has been on the run of a lifetime over the past 4 1/2 months and has cashed for roughly $21 million during that time.
Colman has notched FOUR million dollar plus cashes since April:
EPT Grand Final Super High Roller, 1st, $2,127,398
WSOP BIG ONE For ONE DROP, 1st, $15,306,668
EPT100 Barcelona Super High Roller, 2nd, $1,118,479
SHRPO Main Event, 1st, $1,446,710
Colman has been the talk of the poker world for the past couple of months due to his incredible play and sometimes controversial behavior. Colman was reluctant to conduct any interviews following his win at the BIG ONE For ONE DROP as he claimed that he didn't want to glorify the poker world, and this stance ended up creating quite a bit of controversy. In addition, Colman wore a pro-Palestine shirt during a recent final table that resulted in Pokerstars outright banning T-shirts that make political statements after a number of viewers expressed outrage.
Never a dull moment for Daniel Colman.
