European Poker Tour To Celebrate Their 100th Event
Published on August 12th, 2014 11:25 pm ESTThe opening event of the 11th season of the European Poker Tour, EPT Barcelona, will kick off in just three days.
The event is going to have some extra significance as it will be the 100th event in the history of the European Poker Tour. In addition, this European Poker Tour event will be one of the last to be held before the Amaya Gaming Group's purchase of the Rational Group (parent company of Pokerstars, Full Tilt Poker and European Poker Tour) is completed later in the year.

The European Poker Tour is pulling out all of the stops to celebrate their 100th event, as they will be offering a number of free perks (including free Jet Ski and speed boat rides) to everybody that decides to attend.
The actual tournament series, which will run from August 16th to 27th, will feature a total of 44 events, including the €1,100 Estrellas Main Event, the €5,300 EPT Main Event and the €50,000 Super High Roller event.
Tournament organizers are expecting that the EPT Barcelona (or EPT 100) will set European prize pool and attendance records.
A number of poker's biggest names, including Daniel Negreanu, will be attending the poker festival and playing in a number of events.
