Stammen Takes Home $1,350,000 in Victory
Published on April 27th, 2014 4:35 pm ESTKeven "Stammdogg" Stammen outlasted 327 other players to take down the WPT World Championship for $1.35 million late last night. The tournament, which wrapped up just before the stroke of midnight, took place at the Borgata in Atlantic City, New Jersey.
Stammen entered the final table as the chip leader and used his large stack to his advantage. In the end, the other five players at the final table were unable to make a dent in Stammen's stack as he cruised through much of the final day of play.
The final hand of the event came when Bryon Kaverman elected to make his final stand holding 4-4. Stammen called and flipped over Ac-8s.

The river was the dagger to the heart of Kaverman, as Stammen made a pair of Aces on the river.
