They are down to the final two tables at the Mandalay Bay Poker Championship. 18 players are remaining, and of those remaining, there is a very interesting balance of online poker pros and live poker pros. It should make for a fairly entertaining final table. The players are battling it out for a first place prize of $768,775 dollars. The bubble popped at 27, so everyone remaining now is currently in the money.
The chipleader is currently Shawn Buchanan who has 615,000 in chips. Close behind is J.C. "PartyPSux" Alvarado, who has 528,000 in chips.
Jared "WacoKidd" Hamby is continuing his recent hot stretch in live tournaments, and is currently in 5th place with 295,000, just ahead of John Juanda who has 260,000 in chips.
Ryan "Daut44" Daut, winner of the 2007 PCA, is currently in 10th place. He was the chipleader heading into today's action. Barry Greenstein and Chau Giang are both tailing right behind Daut, in 11th and 12th places.
Pulling up the rear is Chantal McNulty, who currently has 80,000 in chips and is close to busting.
We will provide another update at the close of today's play.
