EPT, WPT, SCOOP and WSOP logosPoker players and fans of the game will get their fill in the month of May, as three major events are set to take place, in addition to the start of the 2013 World Series of Poker.

The EPT Grand Final is set to kick things off on May 6th. The event, which will be taking place in the Monte-Carlo Casino in Monaco, will have a buy-in of 10,000 EUR + 600 EUR. The winner of the EPT Grand Final will be crowned on Sunday, May 12th. Mohsin Charania took down last year's EPT Grand Final for 1.35 million Euros.

Following the EPT Grand Final, many of poker's top players will jet back to Las Vegas for the WPT World Championship. This event, which runs from May 18th-24th, has a buy-in of $25,500. Marvin Rettenmaier is the reigning champion of this event, having outlasted 151 other players to take down the $1,196,858 first place prize last year.

The same day that the EPT Grand Final wraps up in Monaco, the 2013 SCOOP (Spring Championship of Online Poker) will get underway on Pokerstars. 44 events will comprise this year's SCOOP series, with each event consisting of a low, medium and high buy-in tournament. The 2013 SCOOP, which will run until May 26th, has a total guaranteed prize pool of $40 million.

The SCOOP main events will wrap up sometime on Monday, May 27th, which will give players just two days to make their ways to Las Vegas for the start of the 2013 World Series of Poker. The first open event of this year's WSOP, the $5,000 Eight Handed No Limit Hold'em event, will get underway at 5 pm on Wednesday, May 29th.
