Paul Volpe Looks To Extend Recent Hot Streak at WPT Bay 101 Shooting Star Final Table
Published on March 8th, 2013 5:10 pm ESTPaul Volpe will have a commanding chip lead when the WPT Bay 101 Shooting Star main event final table gets underway later today.
Volpe will enter the final table with over 5.5 million in chips, far ahead of his next closest opponent, Erik Seidel. Volpe came agonizingly close to winning his first WPT event last week, finishing in second place in the L.A. Poker Classic for $651,170. He is hoping that his second trip to a WPT final table will yield a better result.
One of the men who will be looking to stand in Volpe's way is Erik Seidel, who will enter the final table with 3.435 million in chips. Seidel has nearly $2 million in total lifetime cashes in World Poker Tour events, including a victory in the 2008 Foxwoods Poker Classic for $992,890.
