Gus Hansen Named As First Brand Ambassador For Full Tilt Poker 2.0
Published on October 2nd, 2012 2:00 pm ESTFull Tilt Poker 2.0 revealed earlier today that the new "face of Full Tilt Poker" will be none other than Gus Hansen.
A press release was circulated earlier today by Full Tilt Poker in which they announced that Gus Hansen had been named as the re-launched site's first "brand ambassador". Full Tilt Poker is expected to re-launch in early November.
Gus Hansen was formerly a member of "Team Full Tilt" on Full Tilt Poker 1.0.

Hansen had this to say about being a brand ambassador for the new Full Tilt Poker:
"I'm very excited to represent the industry's most authentic poker brand. Full Tilt Poker has the best games, most innovative software and the strongest poker community; to me this feels like coming home."

Making Gus Hansen the new "face of Full Tilt Poker" makes a great deal of sense.
First off, Hansen is an extremely prominent and popular player. He has over $11 million in total lifetime "live" tournament earnings and is a fixture in the biggest online cash games.
Hansen is also young (38) and charismatic, plus he has a strong global appeal.
On top of all of that, Gus Hansen emerged from the Full Tilt Poker scandal unscathed. According to Howard Lederer, Hansen was reportedly a vocal supporter of the players during the entire Full Tilt Poker fiasco.

Full Tilt Poker is expected to announce the signing of more "brand ambassadors" in the coming weeks.
