2012 WCOOP Schedule Released

1. Pokerstars releases 2012 WCOOP Schedule.

Earlier today, Pokerstars announced via their blog that they have released their "working schedule" for the 2012 WCOOP (World Championship of Online Poker).

62 events will comprise this year's WCOOP, with the first event ($215 NLHE 6-Max) kicking off on Sunday, September 2nd at 11:00 ET.

The final event ($5,200 NLHE Main Event) will get underway at 14:30 ET on Sunday, September 23rd. $1 million will be guaranteed to the eventual winner of the main event.

Pokerstars hasn't yet announced what the guaranteed prize pool will be for this year's event - given that the 2011 WCOOP paid out over $47 million, you can rest assured that the guarantees will be massive.

2. WSOP Main Event Final Table Betting Odds.

Bovada has released their final table odds for the World Series of Poker main event.

Here are the odds as of this moment:

Jesse Sylvia, 3/1
Andras Koroknai, 9/2
Greg Merson, 5/1
Russell Thomas, 6/1
Steven Gee, 9/1
Michael Esposito, 9/1
Robert Salaburu, 10/1
Jacob Balsiger, 10/1
Jeremy Ausmus, 11/1

The final table is set to get under way in late October.
