$30 Million In Total Guaranteed Prize Money
Published on April 5th, 2012 8:12 pm ESTPokerstars released the finalized version of the 2012 SCOOP (Spring Championship of Online Poker) schedule earlier today.
This year's SCOOP will have a total of 120 tournaments spread out over 40 different events. Pokerstars is guaranteeing $30 million, up from $25 million last year (the 2011 SCOOP finished with a total prize pool of over $43 million).
Event #1 (NL Hold'em, 6-Max, 2-Day Event) will get underway at 11:00 ET on Sunday, May 6th.
The last event (Event #40, NLHE Main Event) will get underway at 14:30 ET on Sunday, May 20th.
As per usual, each SCOOP event will consist of three tournaments - a Low buy-in tournament, a Medium buy-in tournament and a High buy-in tournament.
The main event (Event #40), for instance, will have a low buy-in event ($109), a Medium buy-in event ($1,050) and a High buy-in event ($10,300).
The low buy-in main event will have a guarantee of $1 million, the Medium buy-in main event will have a guarantee of $1.5 million and the High buy-in main event will have a guarantee of $2.5 million, with $500,000 going to the winner.
