Viktor Blom - PCA 2012 Winner - VideoViktor "Isildur1" Blom navigated his way through an extremely tough field to win the PCA (Pokerstars Caribbean Adventure) $100k Super High Roller event on Saturday.

This was the first major "live" tournament victory of Blom’s short poker career and his second cash. Blom’s only other cash came at the 2010 World Series of Poker Europe main event (16th place for $51,806).

Here is how the tournament ended up finishing out:

1. Viktor Blom, $1,254,400
2. Dan Shak, $846,700
3. Galen Hall, $470,400
4. Jonathan Duhamel, $313,600
5. Daniel Negreanu, $250,900

Once the tournament reached the money, “Isildur1” started to assert himself. Negreanu, Duhamel, Hall and Shak all ended up being eliminated in the hands of the Swedish phenom.

The tournament came to an end after Shak shoved on a board of 9d-7c-6h-Qh. Prior to the hand starting, Blom had approximately 7 million chips to Shak’s 1 million.

Blom called Shak’s turn shove and the two players turned over:

Blom - Kc-Qs
Shak - Ah-5h

Blom was ahead with his pair of Queens, but Shak had plenty of outs. The turn brought the 4s, giving Blom the first major tournament victory of his career.

Here is an interview that was conducted with Blom shortly after his victory:
