Tom Dwan Finishes in Fifth Place in $10k HORSE Event
Published on June 24th, 2011 3:32 am ESTTom "durrrr" Dwan fell short in his bid to win his first World Series of Poker bracelet earlier tonight, as he ended up finishing in 5th place in the $10,000 HORSE event.
Dwan was one of the chip leaders with around a dozen players left, but he was unable to hang on to his chips and was eventually bounced from the tournament in 5th place ($134,480). An impressive result to be sure, especially considering the fact that Dwan's best games are PLO and No Limit Hold'em. However, Dwan is sure to be disappointed with the result after making another deep run in a World Series of Poker event and coming up short.
Tom Dwan made a deep run in a $1,500 No Limit Hold'em event last year, captivating the poker world as he tried to take down his first WSOP bracelet. There was a great deal of money on the line for Dwan, thanks to a multitude of different bracelet bets that he was involved in. Dwan supposedly would have won an enormous amount of money had he taken down the tournament, but unfortunately for "durrrr", he ended up finishing in 2nd place for $381,885.
The people on the other side of Dwan's bracelet bets will surely be breathing a sigh of relief once again, as Dwan came very close to winning the HORSE event earlier tonight.
It's just a matter of time until "durrrr" wins his first bracelet, but it won't be tonight.
