Gus Hansen Up $1.12 Million in 2011
Published on February 3rd, 2011 7:29 pm ESTYou've heard this story before - Gus Hansen has gotten off to a strong start so far this year, raking in over $1.12 million in profits on Full Tilt Poker.
Hansen seems to really enjoy playing in the early months of the year. In both 2009 and 2010, Hansen got off to a strong start in January and February, making millions of dollars in the high stakes cash games on Full Tilt Poker.
The problem for Hansen? The ten months after January and February.
In 2009, Gus Hansen made over $2.2 million in the first two months of the year on Full Tilt Poker.
In 2010, Gus Hansen made over $1.8 million in the first two months of the year on Full Tilt Poker.
In both years, Hansen got off to a great start on Full Tilt Poker. In both years, the wheels ended up completely falling off for "The Great Dane".
In 2009, Gus Hansen lost $7.79 million between March 1st and December 31st. Despite his great start to the year, Gus ended up as the biggest loser on Full Tilt Poker, dropping over $5.5 million.
In 2010, Gus Hansen lost $2.84 million between March 1st and December 31st. The losses weren't as severe as in 2009, but Hansen had still managed to drop over a million dollars despite getting the year off to such a strong start.

Can Hansen hold on to his profits after getting off to another strong start this year, or will he once again end up finishing in the red?
