Tom "kingsofcards" Marchese Is The 2010 Card Player POY
Published on December 27th, 2010 9:10 pm ESTIt's official - Tom Marchese, also known online as "kingsofcards", has been named the 2010 Card Player POY.
In addition to receiving the title of Card Player's 2010 POY, Marchese will also receive a $10,000 seat to the 2011 WSOP main event and a trophy.
Past winners of Card Player's POY award include Michael "The Grinder" Mizrachi (2006) and Daniel Negreanu (2004).
Here were the top finishers in the 2010 Card Player POY race:
1. Tom Marchese, 6,738 points
2. Dwyte Pilgrim, 5,576 points
3. Sorel Mizzi, 4,851 points
4. Vanessa Selbst, 4,608 points

Tom Marchese finished 2010 with an impressive $2,114,491 in "live" tournament cashes.
Tom's largest cash came in the NAPT Venetian main event in February, which he ended up taking down for $827,648.

A number of players turned in very strong performances in 2010, but Marchese's remarkably consistent deep runs ended up earning him the 2010 Card Player POY title.
